The PayPal Innovate-2009 Developer's Conference in San Francisco was terrific! 2-solid days of jam-packed technical information, and WOW (!!) the stuff that is coming out: some new APIs that will just blast open the e-commerce market.

Something that really got my attention was the ability to split a payment. It's a new set of APIs called “Adaptive Payments” In a nutshell, say that you buy a $100 picture from an art gallery. The Adaptive Payment API will direct Paypal to split the payment between yourself, the gallery owner, and the artist, 80/20 or 20/80, or whatever. Actually, a single payment can be split 6-ways ... which sounds pretty good for travel agency businesses. Very Nice!

Very busy. Ever since my name hit the Ace-Developer & PPCD lists, it's been non-stop. My fault: need to learn to say 'no' ... well, live and learn. For now, I have to deliver. Hope to come back up for a breather late September.
